Our client an established nursing home in South Dublin is recruiting a Physiotherapist D

This nursing home is currrently seeking to recruit a permanent Physiotherapist to join their team.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the physiotherapy manager in planning, developing, co-ordinating and evaluating the service to meet the needs of the service users and the objectives of the organisation. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for the provision and delivery of a high-quality physiotherapy service in the designated clinical area(s) and will carry out clinical, educational and administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Possess a university qualification in Physiotherapy such as the Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Hons) degree from the National University of Ireland or equivalent.
Be a member of or be eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Senior Chartered Physiotherapists.
Have a minimum of five years post qualification experience.
Show initiative and work without direct supervision.
Must have CORU registration completed or in process.
Proven experience in the treatment of patients with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions and their rehabilitation and have up to date knowledge of the evidence underpinning the treatment of these conditions.
Demonstrate evidence of leadership initiatives, service development /quality improvements.
Demonstrate interest in and/or attainment of continuing professional development relevant to the area of orthopaedics/ MSK in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
Experience supervising physiotherapy staff and/or student physiotherapists.
Demonstrate excellent flexibility, teamwork, communication and organisational skills.

Eligibility criteria, qualifications & experience

1. Statutory registration, professional qualifications, experience, etc

Candidates for appointment must:

(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.

AND

(ii) Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years full time) post qualification clinical experience.

AND

(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

AND

(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

2. Annual registration

(i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
