Locum Consultant Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

Contract: Locum (Full-time / Part-time options available)
Salary: Highly competitive, in line with HSE consultant rates
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join a well-established multidisciplinary team at a leading hospital in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive service delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents
Lead and contribute to a multidisciplinary CAMHS team
Participate in care planning, risk assessment, and clinical governance
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff
Engage with families, carers, and external agencies as appropriate
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE and hospital policies
Requirements
Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent Division)
Extensive experience at consultant level in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Eligibility to work in Ireland
