As a Consultant Radiologist, you will provide expert imaging interpretation and clinical guidance across a broad range of specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to accurate diagnosis, patient management, and service development.
🩻 Key Responsibilities
Report and interpret a wide range of imaging studies (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray)
Support clinical teams with timely and accurate diagnostic input
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions
Contribute to the development and expansion of radiology services
Supervise, mentor, and support junior doctors and radiography staff
Engage in audit, research, and continuous quality improvement
🎯 Essential Requirements
Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council in Radiology
Proven experience at Consultant level (or equivalent)
Expertise in general radiology (subspecialty interest desirable)
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
