🏥 Consultant Geriatrician

HSE Hospital – Midlands, Ireland

🔎 The Post

The successful applicant will:

Provide consultant-led care in the specialty of Geriatric Medicine.

Deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of older patients, including those with complex comorbidities and frailty.

Contribute to the acute medical take, inpatient and outpatient geriatric services, day hospital, and rehabilitation pathways.

Play a key role in multidisciplinary team working and service development.

Support teaching, audit, research, and quality improvement within the hospital and community settings.

✅ Qualifications / Eligibility

Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Geriatric Medicine.

Appropriate postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MRCP, CCST or equivalent).

Proven clinical and leadership skills in Geriatric Medicine.

Commitment to multidisciplinary care, teaching, and service development.
