Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine in the South East of Ireland
🔎 The Post
The successful applicant will:
Provide consultant-led care in Respiratory Medicine and participate in the General Internal Medicine (GIM) service.
Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient respiratory services, including bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and management of complex respiratory disease.
Contribute to the acute medical take as part of the General Medicine rota.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care pathways.
Support service development, teaching, audit, and research in respiratory and general medicine.
✅ Qualifications / Eligibility
Specialist registration (or eligibility for specialist registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine.
Appropriate postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MRCP, CCST or equivalent).
Demonstrated expertise in Respiratory Medicine, with strong clinical and procedural skills.
Commitment to multidisciplinary care, teaching, and service development.
